Stacey vs. Claudia

Man is this book the most pathetic ive ever read. It's also the most bitchiest, most annoying, and yet most greatest book out of the entire Friends Forever series, simply because Claudia was so pathetic and totally annoying, while Stacey was such a major bitch in this series. I can't say that this book was awful, because it wasn't, because then i would be lying. I do have to give it credit though, it simply was good. Great job Ann m. Martin. You really know how to relate to teenagers in this book. Especially when you have two of the most popular girls fight over a boy like Jeremy Rudolph.

My Memory On This Book: I remembered how much i wanted to read this book, since the library where i go to doesn't have the book. So i went to Goodwill to see if they have it and they did for 50 cents. And the fight between Claudia and Stacey was so hillarious, as well as the love triangle between Claudia/Stacey/Jeremy. All i can say is that Claudia was annoying, Stacey was a bitch, and Jeremy Rudolph was such a playboy jerk. And you can't help but feel sorry for Ethan Carroll in this book, even though Him and Stacey's relationship did seem kind of boring to me.( Don't worry Ethan Carroll, you can be perfect for me anytime.)

on the cover:

Stacey actually looks 13 for a change ( and also kinda hot if you ask me.) Claudia looks majorly American instead of Japanese (which does tend to happen quite a lot in the series).Basically Claudia and Stacey look alright for a change. Stacey however looks as if she doesn't care what Claudia thinks and is rolling her eyes over what Claudia is yelling to her. Claudia is shown yelling in Stacey's ear and basically feeling pissed. Pretty good, but i was at least expecting them to face off against each other looking mad. *sigh*. This will have to do for now i guess. The cover does look nice though ill give that credit.

Ok, so it starts off with Stacey Mcgill trying to work on her history project when she recieves a phone call from her boyfriend Ethan Carroll, telling her that their weekend together is called off due to Ethan singing up for some art classes around Sunday in New York. So Stacey is super pissed at Ethan Carroll, and it causes Ethan to apologize to Stacey many times, because he hates making Stacey mad at him, and tries to think of ways to make up to Stacey. Wow somebody sure loves being Stacey's little bitch and stuff. This is more like sexual slave if you ask me. But i'm not saying anything though.

Then Stacey heads off to school, totally pissed at Ethan but also wondering if she should dump Ethan for good. While she's busy thinking about those things, she runs into a cute guy by the name of Jeremy Rudolph, who just happens to be new from Olympia, Washington D.C., and is shy and lonely. Yeah Right. But this causes Stacey to totally start lusting over his ass and basically starts thinking of ways on how to land Jeremy as her's, not realizing that someone else is into him also. And that someone is Claudia Kishi, who happens to be Stacey's best friend.

Then Stacey and Claudia invite Jeremy over to sit with them and their friends, the Baby Sitters Club. Jeremy soon becomes popular just like Logan Bruno with the girls. Then Claudia begins lusting over Jeremy Rudolph, which causes Mary Anne to say that Claudia would be perfect for Jeremy, not aware that Stacey overhears them saying that and is hurt by that remark, because she likes Jeremy also. But Stacey gets over that remark quickly because she realizes that Claudia had recently broke up with Josh Rocker, and that's why Mary Anne said that.

Then Kristy arrives at the Bsc meeting after the girls leave the school, telling the gang that Rachel Griffin is back, and the gang is sure that she's going to cause trouble. It turns out that Rachel Griffin is known for being the biggest bitch in all of Stoneybrook, even horrible than Cokie Mason. And that she's a mixture of Helga G. Pataki, Lucy Van Pelt, and Angelica Pickles all rolled into one. In case you do'nt know who that is, Lucy is from Peanuts aka Charlie Brown, Helga is from Hey Arnold, and Angelica is from The Rugrats.

this is Angelica Pickles
this is Lucy Van Pelt.

this is helga g pataki

My favorite characters from all time
But anyways Stacey is all mature about it and really wants to be friends with Rachel Griffin because she seems interesting (Go Stacey! For once you don't sound like a bitch in this scene.)
This however causes the girls to act all immature about it, but Stacey ignores it. Then Kristy gives her advice on not meeting Rachel Griffin, but Stacey doesn't say anything, because Kristy Thomas has no room to talk about being bossy with the way she acts almost all of the time.
Then Mrs.Pike calls the Bsc requesting two sitters, to which Mary Anne gets the job but this causes a problem because Mary Anne is the only one free. So Kristy suggests Logan Bruno, and Mary Anne immediately becomes annoyed, because apparently Logan's been bitching at her about not spending more time with each other since the fire, as well as the fact that the Bsc has been bothering him about jobs after he quitted to catch up more on his sports. Yeah basically Logan's been acting even more of an asshole throughout the whole series.
Then Stacey and Rachel's relationship starts to blossom as Stacey learns that Rachel plans to become an actress someday and is already starring in plays and even landed a role in a BBC drama back when she was living in London, which Stacey is thrilled. This definitely causes Stacey to bond with Rachel and realize that Rachel is definitely not how the Bsc would portray her. Rather Rachel is a whole new different person. And Stacey likes her already.
Anywho, Stacey's relationship with Jeremy is already gone sky rocket, causing the girl to completely fantasize about what her and Jeremy are doing ( I wonder if sex is on her mind). Stacey is also aware of Claudia's feelings towards Jeremy and tries not to make too much of a big deal about it.(But its impossible, because the girls are already going ga ga over jeremy and probably are already having an orgasm just thinking about Jeremy Rudolph.)
Then Stacey and Ethan's relationship starts cooling off, which Stacey is relieved because then she could have Jeremy all to herself, while also not really caring how Claudia is feeling about this situation. ( Gheesh Stacey i never know you could be so heartless. Now I'm certain. Man what a bitch. How low.)
Then Stacey recieves a letter from Claudia describing her feelings over Jeremy, and Stacey becomes annoyed because Claudia's spelling is completely horrible for a 8th grader. Also she's pissed that the girl is still obsessed over Jeremy despite the fact that Stacey's lusting over him too. Basically the girls are having a thing/obsession over Jeremy.
The problem becomes worse when Claudia begs for Stacey to hook up with Jeremy, because she doesn't know what to do and she's completely losing her mind over it. Stacey agrees unaware that she's really planning Jeremy to herself. But she keeps these things to herself. It eventually works when Stacey agrees to take Claudia with him to the mall, while Stacey plans to pretend she sick, so that she doesn't come and hang around like a tag a long, because that would ruin the date. As well as the thing between Claudia and Jeremy.
After the plan becomes sucessful, Stacey calls Claudia to see how the date went. It turns out to be great according to Claudia, and Claudia is practically falling into cloud 9 because of her date with Jeremy. But Then Jeremy shows up and asks Stacey how she's feeling, which she lies and says that she's fine. Then Jeremy comes out and straight up tells her that he's in love with her, and this causes Stacey to become happy. Turns out he's been into Stacey all along, and that him and Claudia are really meant to be friends, not lovers, which causes Stacey to be Happy but also realizing how hurt Claudia would be. So Stacey being the kind woman that she is, tells Jeremy if she could wait till tomorrow to make up her mind about whether or not her and Jeremy should date. Jeremy agrees and leaves Stacey's house.
Then Stacey leaves early in the morning to jog around the neighborhood to help clear her mind about things, and she runs into Rachel Griffin along the way, who notices that something is wrong with Stacey and asks what's wrong out of concern. Stacey tells her what's going on and Rachel gives some good advice on what Stacey should expect and do, and Stacey decides to follow Rachel's advice and go for it. (Go Rachel. I really do like Rachel in this series. She seems alright for a minor character.)
Then Stacey runs into Claudia after school and tells Claudia the truth about her and Jeremy.Claudia becomes upset and accuses Stacey of coming on to Jeremy and stealing him away from her (Uh honey, Jeremy was never yours to begin with so why are you stressing over him. You could honestly do so much better anyways girlfriend. Don't waste your time on a tool like Jeremy.) Then Stacey loses her cool with Claudia and really lets her have it before they go to the meeting though.
At the meeting, the girls become frosty against one another. Then Claudia "accidently" throws out some carrots with dip all over Stacey, and Stacey becomes super mad and starts throwing some dip in Claudia's face to get even back at her. Then the girls become total bitches towards Mary Anne and Krsity, and the two leave quickly after the meeting ends, and Stacey starts crossing Claudia off of her best friends list Permantly in her head.
Finally, Stacey goes out with Jeremy Rudolph on a whole real date, and basically has a good time with him, despite the calls she recieves from Ethan Carroll later on in the night, and despite the fact that Claudia is super mad and hurt at the same time over the both of them.
Then Stacey comes back to hear that Jeremy found out about her and Ethan going out together, and Jeremy becomes pissed and becomes a total jerk towards Stacey. Stacey soon learns who is spreading those rumors and sets off to set Claudia straight once and for all. During the meeting, all the girls do is give dirty looks towards each other. Then the meeting ends with Mary Anne and Krsity leaving early, and once again Stacey and Claudia still giving dirty looks towards each other, but Stacey eventually leaves though.
Then Stacey comes back and Claudia becomes nasty towards Stacey, and Stacey does the same thing, calling Claudia out and basically calling her a brainless loser while Claudia calls her a stuck up creep as well as a slut(in the earlier descriptions). Claudia is telling Stacey that it isn't nice of her to string along two guys, Jeremy and Ethan, and that everyone at school is thinking the same thing about Stacey. Yeah Claudia is basically calling Stacey a slut here in this book. But Stacey calls Claudia a retard, that she can't spell for shit, and that being an artist won't get her anywhere.
Then Stacey makes a prediction that Claudia will never go out with Jeremy no matter what she does to Jeremy's dates, or her. This causes Claudia to cry, and Stacey trying to make up for that but its too late. Claudia kicks Stacey out of the room, and Stacey leaves the room telling her mom what happened and cries herself to sleep the next day.
Then Jeremy's ass shows up and apologizes to Stacey for the way he's been acting, and Stacey forgives him and Jeremy asks Stacey out on a real date, to which Stacey accepts and kisses Stacey to prove that point.
Then Rachel helps Stacey, rather than Claudia instead, to help her get ready for her big date with Jeremy Rudolph. Then all of a sudden Ethan shows up and brings Stacey flowers. Stacey becomes cold towards Ethan and tells him that she's moved on now and that she's in love with Jeremy now. This causes Ethan to become jealous, and wants to pounce on the guy for stealing Stacey away from him. But its Rachel instead who comes by, and Ethan apologizes and then leaves, feeling completely embarrassed that he made such a fool of himself and Stacey once again becoming heartless. (Man what a Bitch!)
The book ends with Jeremy and Stacey officially going out, and Claudia's friendship with Stacey officially over, as well as Stacey's relationship with Ethan Carroll.
Thoughts after the book:
Man was this book so bitchy. Stacey was such a jerk in this book, Claudia was annoying as well as pathetic, and i thought Jeremy was such a tool for taking advantage of the girls and using them like that. But i really like seeing Rachel Griffin in this book. Rachel really was cool throughtout this whole entire book. Im glad her and Stacey are friends throught this series. They both are made to be best friends, just like Harper and Kaia from the Seven Deadly Sins novels. Can't help but feel sorry for Ethan though in this book, yet again happy that the two are through with. Him and Stacey's relationship always seemed boring to me. But Ethan can go out with me anytime, because i would love to have Ethan all to myself If he was a real guy. Who knows.
