ok
on to mallory's character profile.
Mallory is described as being the bsc's junior officer
and also writer of the group.
Of course to other fans, she is also known for being the bsc's punching bag
or the black sheep of the club, because like most of the members or unlike most of them, Mallory actually treats the club as if it's the most important thing in her life.
May i add, like kristy, she also treats the club as if its her own child, or her baby too, and to stay on Kristy's good side, she also acts cold to whoever treats the club horribly like say Stacey?
or act mysterious and goofy too.
And also from what i see, whenever Mallory has any good ideas to share, its usually treated like as if its nothing or worse, her ideas get taken by the older members, Kristy especially.
Mallory often suffers from low self esteem or in Meg Griffin's case, low self confidence in herself ( which i could understand since she is 11 after all.)
and because of that often feels as if she's not attractive or older enough
and thus is the reason why she often feels as if she should look more older and mature
(not to mention act older too)
Yeah. Mallory basically lacks self esteem in herself.
that's all i could say so far in her character profile
except that Mallory did in fact change herself in Baby-sitters club Super Special #5: California Girls when Mallory sees how blonde the We Love Kids Club are and so tries to change herself by dying her hair blonde and call herself a California Girl, only to be ridiculed by Kristy and the gang, not to mention Jessi act like a total bitch to her, and the director act totally cold to her and rejects her from even starring in a scene.
Yeah, that definitely tells you something Mallory. Looks can be decieving indeed.
and despite the fact that the girl even got her ears pierced and not to mention getting her hair cut, she still whines and acts like the little girl that she is in the club, with Jessi joining her, but basically also focusing on other things too, such as dealing with the dreaded, but loving Aunt Cecilia, and also maintaining on trying to keep her ballerina career on focus.
Well that's all i have for the character profile so far
oh,
and Mallory becomes a new person in her last book titled The All New Mallory Pike, where she is still herself, but becomes a much more calmer, more in control, and much more down to earth than say her last character, but that's all i can tell you. And i gotta say, Mallory's leaving for Riverbend was the best decision Ann ever made, just wish she had a series based on the new mallory pike and her adventures in Riverbend, as we would love to see more of Alexis, smita, jen, and sarah too.
Oh well,
that's all for now
i actually kinda like Mallory.
she's alright
except in some books.
oh well
more later

hmmmm.
ReplyDeletei actually thought mallory was alright until later on in the series, when her whining and complaining about her looks would drive me wild. makes me want to snap at mallory and tell her to get a life. otherwise mallory is pretty ok until when the whining gets around. love her family though.
